Creating Opportunity, restoring dignity.
Resilience Education empowers graduates to go back to work, not back to prison.
Corrections to Connections
Break the cycle.
Every year in the United States, more than 700,000 individuals are released into a world that has moved on without them. Most are poorly educated and unskilled, and many will never find useful employment because of their criminal records. Within five years, three out of every four individuals will return to prison.
To break this cycle of incarceration, Resilience Education sends MBA volunteer instructors into prisons to teach university-quality coursework focused on Entrepreneurship, Financial Capability, and Business Foundations. These courses give our students the opportunity to acquire the skills, confidence, and practical knowledge they need to chart a future outside prison walls.
In prison there are limited opportunities for education.
We provide top-tier business and financial education.
In prison there is no place for thoughtful discourse.
We ask our students what they think.
In prison people are numbers.
We call them by name.
CAPABILITY. Our course content, developed by education experts, gives students tools they need to thrive post-release.
CONFIDENCE. Students’ voices and opinions - not an instructor’s chalk - drive the learning in our Socratic case-method classes.
CONNECTIONS. Our graduates earn certificates from top-tier business schools, build relationships with the Resilience professional network, and join a supportive reentry community.
