Communications Intern

Resilience Education is looking for a Communications Intern to support a spring outreach campaign from Feb 2019 - May 2019. This internship will provide experience in marketing and development within a nonprofit organization. This internship position will report to the Director of Operations.

Resilience Education is a nonprofit organization that improves employment outcomes and economic success for vulnerable populations through high-quality business and financial education. 

This is a part-time internship not to exceed 10 hours per week. The position will be pay an hourly rate of $12.


  • Support newsletter campaign by organizing, formatting, and editing weekly email blasts

  • Coordinate integrated social media effort across LinkedIn and Facebook, among other channels.  

  • Work with Director of Operations to develop additional communication platforms (direct mail, white papers, etc.)  

  • Work with Program Director to organize small program projects (i.e. resource library at a facility)

  • Provide additional administrative support as needed 


  • College 3rd or 4th year, or Graduate Student

  • Business background or focus/interest in marketing or nonprofits is preferred

  • Ability to work well with multiple and diverse groups of people.

  • Ability to communicate and work well in a new work environment.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

  • Available to work 10 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 8am - 12pm
