Spotlight on Cereatha!

Dear Resilience Family,

Today, we write to you to celebrate the recent success of one of our graduates and member of the Resilient Professional Community (RPC), Cereatha!

In late October, Cereatha, a local hairstylist here in Charlottesville, messaged us on our digital platform asking for our help lifting a 22-year-old judgment on her driver's license. We worked to connect her with our resource partners at UVA Law's Decarceration and Community Reentry Clinic and the Fountain Fund, and Resilience provided her with a letter of support. Cereatha recently shared this exciting post on the RPC in our Community Wins Forum:

Gigantic win - my drivers license had been suspended for 22.5 years because of a judgment on my driving record. Today I am proud to announce that the $25,000 judgment was removed from my driving record. Thank you to everyone that helped with this win!!”

Cereatha is currently a third year student at Strayer University, working to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration. She also works seasonally at a local tax office. Cereatha plans to join our team as a peer support specialist or a mentor to help others succeed as she has!

We are so grateful to our donors and our resource partners for the opportunities that they provide to RPC users! Your support helped us exceed our $25,000 goal for the Momentum Fund 2.0, which will allow us to help more people like Cereatha in 2023!
