SCRAM systems donates to Resilience Education

Charlottesville, VA  — Resilience Education, a prominent non-profit organization committed to ending cycles of incarceration, is thrilled to announce a significant financial donation from SCRAM Systems, a leading provider of alcohol and location monitoring solutions for community corrections.

Resilience Education is driven by its mission to improve economic mobility for formerly incarcerated individuals. This donation from SCRAM provides the necessary resources for Resilience Education to expand its curriculum, offering courses in personal finance, business, and entrepreneurship. Following this new collaboration between the private and non-profit sectors, Resilience Education endeavors to bring its holistic model of in-prison education and post-release support to more universities, correctional facilities, and communities.

“We are truly thankful for SCRAM’s support in our mission to improve economic opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals,” expressed Tierney Fairchild, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Resilience Education. “SCRAM's contribution will bolster our efforts to expand our programs nationwide, building on the foundation set by our grant from Ascendium Education Group. This combined support will help us reach more individuals and institutions, furthering our mission to empower all formerly incarcerated individuals to succeed,” added Fairchild.

SCRAM Systems’ contribution highlights its commitment to reshaping the corrections landscape through community corrections. “At SCRAM Systems, we are dedicated to supporting organizations like Resilience Education, which aligns with our broader goal to improve the correctional system,” stated Chris Linthwaite, CEO of SCRAM Systems. “We are inspired by the transformative power of education and are eager to assist Resilience Education’s initiatives to positively impact the lives of those transitioning from incarceration,” Linthwaite added.
